Steam Packet Issues Update after Cancellation of TT 2020

16/3/2020

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has confirmed it will be contacting all TT period passengers as a result of the cancellation of this year’s event due to Coronavirus.

TT 2021 sailings are not yet available to book but anyone due to travel to this year’s festival – which was to take place from 30th May – 13th June 2020 - will be offered a full refund or priority on equivalent sailings for TT 2021 if that is their preferred option. The Company will be in touch with those affected in due course.

Once provisional TT 2021 timetables are confirmed by the various port authorities, the Company will email customers with an automated rebooking or refund process so there is no need to immediately contact the Company.

Amendment fees have also been waived for the time being to allow passengers to book alternative services.

Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Chief Executive Mark Woodward said: ‘While it is extremely disappointing news that there will be no TT 2020, we fully understand the decision of the Isle of Man Government to cancel as the main priority is health and well-being.

‘We will contact TT 2020 period passengers who are due to travel with us. We are working hard to finalise travel arrangements for TT 2021 and will communicate the equivalent sailing details as soon as they are confirmed.’

Amendments for TT 2021, and new bookings, will be available from 25th May 2020.
